The Milo Foundation is seeking a kennel attendant with animal experience, specifically with dogs, is required.
This is an entry level position which requires significant physical exertion:
- lifting at least 50 pounds, handling large dogs, bending and kneeling
- cleaning of kennels and crates
- general cleaning and maintenance of the facility,
- doing laundry and dishes,
- maintaining dog yards,
- and walking dogs of all sizes.
The position includes early morning shifts and potentially some evenings until approximately 8pm. It may be part time approximately 20 – 25 hours per week, to full time 35 hours per week, depending on the candidate.

The Milo Foundation is also hiring a part time animal care and adoption assistant, savvy of animal health and wellness, medical protocols, able to assist with intake procedures, vaccinations, cat and dog care.
Someone with experience in the rescue or veterinary world is most suitable for this position.
This is a very hands on position dealing with the public so there must be good customer service abilities and able to multi-task and follow through with the tasks of the day through interruptions and all!
Someone with powers of observation and organizational skills is a plus. This is a job that requires thinking on your feet and good stamina as well as the familiarity and comfort with handling dogs of all sizes and cats as well. Administrative tasks are also included with this job thus computer skills of a basic sort at the least are required.
